The Overall Research on English Teachers' Training in Shanghai--Advance to Japan

在这四年中，研究代表吕负责了上海师范大学实地调查的所有准备工作，并与共同研究人员第二语言习得专家陶拉教授一起，改进了原来的kakeni方法，制定了一个更好的四年研究路线图，跟踪这些英语教师的专业学生从入学到毕业。每年9月，我们都会在上海进行为期一周的数据收集调查，主要针对托福模拟测试、课堂情况、教师教学方法和英语水平、对教师和学生的访谈、与院长和高管的深入交谈等方面进行调查。最令人印象深刻的是中国教师出色的英语水平和中国高效的目标明确的教育体系。所获得的数据和信息被总结成三篇论文，发表在立命馆和京都文教大学的两份学术期刊上。

During these four years,the research representative Lu, took charge of all the preperations for on-the-spot investigation at Shanghai Normal University, together with co-researcher, Prof.Taura as a specialist on second language aquisition, improved the former Kakenhi method and worked out a better road-map for four-year-research to follow those English teachers' major students from their entering to and graduation from the University.Each year in September, we stayed in Shanghai for one week to carry out a data-collecting survey, focusing on TOEFL mock test, classroom conditions,teachers' methodology and English proficiency,interviews to teachers and students, deep talking with deans and executives etc,.The most impressive points are the Chinese teachers' excellent English proficiency and China's efficient goal-bound educational system. The data and infomation gained are summarized into three papers published in two academic journals of Ritsumekan and Kyoto Bunkyo University.
