Application of new generation PET to brain tumor treatment strategy

本研究的目的是揭示分子成像在脑肿瘤治疗策略中的作用。为此，我们使用了两种技术。一是研究分子成像与脑肿瘤病理的关系，二是探讨高空间分辨率和高能量分辨率PET系统在分子成像中的优势。我们阐明了低氧成像可以区分胶质母细胞瘤和其他级别的胶质母细胞瘤，高空间和能量分辨率的PET可以在FDG摄取和肿瘤增殖之间产生高度的回归。

The purpose of this study was to reveal the usefulness of molecular imaging in strategy of brain tumor treatment. We used two technique for the purpose. One was to investigate relationships between molecular imaging and brain tumor pathology, another was to investigate the superiority of high spatial resolution and high energy resolution PET system in molecular imaging. We clarified that hypoxia imaging differentiated glioblastoma from other grade glioma and high spatial and energy resolution PET could produce high regression between FDG uptake and tumor proliferation.
