Development of Database Technologies for Supporting Mobile Robot Activities

近年来，移动的机器人的技术发展非常迅速，并且各种应用领域正在出现。在数据库技术领域，对时空数据库的研究和开发正在取得进展，时空数据库代表和处理面向时间和空间的信息。本研究旨在融合移动的机器人技术和时空数据库技术。这是一个具有挑战性的研究主题，在以前的研究中没有解决。由于概率建模通常用于移动的机器人，特别是用于表示位置信息和传感器信息，我们专注于概率位置信息的管理和处理的概率数据流的技术的发展。

Recent years, technology development for mobile robots is progressing very rapidly, and various application areas are emerging. In the field of database technologies, research and development of spatio-temporal databases, which represent and manipulate time- and space-oriented information, is progressing. This research aims at fusion of mobile robot technologies and spatio-temporal database technologies. This is a challenging research theme which is not tackled in the former research. Since probabilistic modeling is often used in mobile robots especially for representing location information and sensor information, we focused on development of the technologies for management of probabilistic location information and processing of probabilistic data streams.
