Reconstruction of Macro and Micro Linguistic History Using Linguistic Maps across Countries and Language Families in Eastern Eurasia

对泰加岱语、越南语、藏语、阿伊努语、尼夫克语、日语、韩语、蒙古语、汉语、苗族等语言进行了地理语言学研究。为交流这些研究成果，以“第一届亚洲地理语言学国际会议”的名义举行了一次国际研究会议。值得注意的是，由于清水正明教授等人的贡献，人们对越南方言进行了田野调查和研究。建立了一个用英语编写的网站来传播这些结果。

Geolinguistic studies on Tai-Kadai, Vietnamese, Tibetan, Ainu, Nivkh, Japanese, Korean, Mongolic languages, Chinese, Hmong-mien were carried out. An international research meeting was held under the name of “The First International Conference on Asian geolinguistics” in order to exchange the results of these studies. Notably, thanks to the contribution of Professor Masaaki Shimizu and others, field investigation and researches were done concerning Vietnamese dialects. A website written in English was established to spread these results.
