The TV and film industry in the UK is currently being challenged to change -- from both government legislation and public demand -- to address the pervasive regional and gender inequalities that have been prevalent for so long.As such, there is a surge in the demand from both broadcasters (e.g. BBC) and streamers (e.g. Netflix) for quality, regional, and female-centric content.Our **vision** is to harness this disruptive upsurge to present our first TV series, The Uncertainty Principle: a psychological, naturalistic sci-fi thriller set in present-day Newcastle that questions fate, free will, and our very identity.It is a female-led story; developed by a female-centric team; and has a production budget of approximately £8m for series 1 (8 episodes).Our **objective** for this project is to create a coordinated package of digital material necessary to pitch and sell the series to a broadcaster/streamer.Bamboo Media Productions will be the first production company based in the North East of England to deliver a high-end production, and will pave the way for more shows already slated and in development.
