Diasolve Investigation of Market Potential for a Novel Vasodilator and Delivery Device for use in Cardiac Stress Testing and Stenting

Diasolve investigated the market potential for a novel pharmaceutical vasodilator and an accompanying device which combines targeted drug delivery and intra-arterial pressure measurement. The results indicate that the products are expected to have a positive impact on cardiac stress testing, by reducing patient risk and improving diagnostic accuracy, and have the potential to become the new standard of care. A robust financial model was built during the project which has shown that there is a substantial commercial opportunity. An adjusted verion of the model has now been used to underpin an application to develop the device under the Stratified Medicine competition "Determining Patient Response".
