The aim is to study the importance of metal ions on the surface physical chemical factors influencing enamel dissolution, particularly tin. The objectives are to measure the rate of enamel dissolution under strictly controlled thermodynamic conditions relevant to dental diseases, using novel X-ray microscopies and chemical titrations.
