The proposed research focuses on the potential application of secondary aggregates (created via carbonation of industrial waste streams) in geotechnical engineering applications. The proposed study would initially comprise an experimental investigation to determine the geotechnical properties of secondary aggregates and then determination of the potential direct applications of the material within geotechnical engineering. The project would be undertaken in associated with the University of Greenwich and Carbon8.
