(200words max)The proposed research examines the identification of and police responsesto suspect vulnerability in police custody in England and Wales and inPoland, as well as pushing the boundaries of knowledge about howvulnerability is conceptualised and why differences arise between thejurisdictions of interest in the treatment of vulnerable suspects. The projecthas a clear connection with the Security, Conflict and Justice Pathway ofthe WRDTP, particularly to the sub-theme of justice.
