Robot Guide Dog for the Visually Impaired People

Robot Guide Dog for the Visually Impaired People who are visually impaired often must deal with complex environments,both at home and outside. Guide dogs have been used successfully to aid in these environments. However, obtaining aguide dog is a long process that can leave people without assistance for months or years. In this project, we propose tocreate a Robot Guide Dog which would be capable of navigating complex environment while ensuring the safety of itsuser. The project proposes to deploy a Boston Dynamics SPOT robot to create a live demonstrator and test-bed, whilefocusing on developing technologies that will aid all types of mobile robot.
