网络安全是一个广阔而多方面的研究领域，深受其从业者社区的影响，从业者从计算机科学家到法学家都有。虽然其深远的分支是其有用性和理论深度的明显迹象，但令人惊讶的是，即使是像中央情报局三合会这样著名的基本原则也几乎被很好地理解。我的研究项目是试图为整个学科，特别是它的基本原理提供一个明确而坚实的基础。到目前为止，在这个方向上还没有做太多的工作，但有几个学科可以帮助这一努力。我指的是逻辑，历史证明，它在使整个研究领域变得清晰和系统化方面非常有效。

Cybersecurity stands as a vast and multi-faceted area of research that is deeply influenced by its community of practitioners, spanning from computer scientists to juristicians. While its far-reaching ramications are a clear sign of its usefulness and theoretical depth, it can be surprising how even well-known basic principles as the CIA triad are all but well-understood. My research project is an attempt at giving a clear and firm foundation to the discipline as a whole, and to its basic tenets in particular. Not much work has beendone in this direction so far, yet there are several disciplines that could help in this effort. I am referring to logic, which historically proved to be extremely effective in bringing clarity and systematizing whole areas of research.
