Trans embodiment and combat sports: Queer subversion, intimate violence and haptic encounters at the edge of legibility.

跨性别运动员进入体育运动是一个有争议的领域：新的国际奥委会（2021年）指导方针建议更多地接纳跨性别运动员。然而，个别体育机构可以根据具体情况决定是否纳入，允许恢复侵入性检测，有害和排除的做法。这项基于实践的研究并没有形成反对反跨性别言论的论点，而是利用表演和体育学科来论证搏击运动（摔跤、拳击）对跨性别者的好处。这个项目提出，通过格斗运动的亲密暴力和触觉接触，建立新的跨性别体现形式，表达、协商和学习性别。

Trans access to sports is a contested area: new IOC (2021) guidelines recommend greater inclusion for trans competitors. However individual sporting bodies can make case by case decisions on inclusion, allowing the reinstating of invasive testing, harmful and excluding practices. Rather than forming an argument in opposition to anti-trans rhetoric, this practice-based research uses both performance and sport disciplines to argue the benefits of combat sports (wrestling, boxing) activities for trans people. This project proposes that new forms of trans embodiment are built and genders expressed, negotiated and unlearnt through the intimate violence and hapticencounters of combat sports.
