Construction industry is a vital sector in the Canadian economy, which accounts for 6% of the GDP. Procurement is a key process in construction management that creates and manages contracts. It applies to all the phases of a construction project, from identification of the services or products to be procured, soliciting and evaluating tender offers, awarding the contracts and managing them, and confirming the compliance with requirements to payment approval. As per many previous researchers, procurement is a segment in construction with significant development potential, for which less attention has been given.
