Geochemistry is the study of the distribution of elements within Earth (including its atmosphere and waters) and of the chemical, physical and biological processes that govern Earth's composition and evolution. Importantly, geochemistry provides tools for the fundamental understanding of our planet and has numerous applications to the environment, global change, natural resources, human health and natural hazards. This CREATE project integrates leading geochemistry researchers and analytical laboratories across Canada, forming the Multidisciplinary Applied Geochemistry Network (MAGNET).
