In this research, a photo-catalyst consisting of doped titania, TiO2, will be synthesized and tested to degrade the water pollution in sewage systems that currently the company is working on. The aim of the project is to produce a catalyst which works with solar light. Thus, we can spread the catalyst into the sewage tanks and under the solar light, it will degrade the organic pollution. After the process the catalyst will simply be collected by a magnet and can be reused later producing an effective and cheap catalyst, which can be reused several times. Therefore, the company will be able to reduce cost by not requiring a biological process or ultraviolet light as is commonly used by others resulting in an improved quality of service given to its customers. Also, the company, instead of using current time-consuming steps requiring extensive maintenance, will be able to lower its costs in terms of time and equipment financially being beneficial to the company.
