The host company, Canadensys, is in the process of developing cameras for nano-class spacecraft that sense the**entire hemisphere around them at once, known as NICS-C. Such nano-class spacecraft may be deployed in low**earth orbit, or the cameras may be appended to other spacecraft that could travel to planetary environments,**atmospheres or surfaces. Such a system is appealing from the perspective that no knowledge of pointing or**spacecraft attitude is required for image acquisition as all directions are sensed simultaneously. However, space**observing environments are very challenging from a scientific perspective due to the large range in spectral**radiance of different targets. To enhance the utility of such a camera system, testing of the cameras under**challenging illumination conditions will be performed, demonstrating the ability of the cameras to meet various**scientific mission requirements and allow us to develop imaging and operational strategies for the use of the**cameras in the field.
