英文摘要
Existing digital radiographic imaging systems are either prohibitively expensive or suffer from poor image quality. Thus there is a need for a low-cost x-ray imaging system which exceeds the image quality of existing state-of-the-art devices without an increase in x-ray dose.*These problems can be addressed by using Lead Oxide as an x-ray - to - charge transducer in direct conversion x-ray detectors. Our initial studies have shown the high potential of Lead Oxide for application in x-ray imaging; however, its technology has to be improved before its unique imaging properties will be fully realized. Our goal is to optimize Lead Oxide technology for applications in fluoroscopy and radiography.
