Identification of follow up notion from radiologist dictated reports

Intelerad is a Canadian company with its Head Office in Montreal and additional Canadian offices in Calgary**and Toronto. The company designs and develops medical imaging software solutions from its Canadian offices**which allow hospitals, imaging centers, and radiology reading groups to access and interpret medical images in**order to establish a diagnosis.**By using the content available in radiology reports sourced directly from Intelerad's Picture Archiving and**Communication System (IntelePACS) solution, Intelerad is designing a management system to provide all**stakeholders along the continuum of care with the required information to ensure improved care by decreasing**the time to diagnosis and treatment.**Intelerad currently would like to enhance its ability to detect that a given report contains a follow-up**recommendation. In this project, Prof. Fatiha Sadat, a NLP and machine learning expert and Intelerad Medical**Systems Inc. will investigate methods to detect the presence of follow-up and based on research findings, will**propose enhancements or new approaches altogether to the developed proof of concept processing pipeline.
