We request funds to purchase twenty high capacity hard drives (16 TB HDDs) in order to enable the analysis of the Canada France Imaging Survey (CFIS). CFIS is a state-of-the-art legacy survey in progress at the Canada France Hawaii Telescope and co-lead by Canada and France. It will address some of the most fundamental questions in astronomy: the properties of Dark Matter and dark energy, the growth of structure in the Universe from Galactic to cluster scales, and the assembly of the Milky Way. The proposed equipment will enable a highly significant research on the nature of Dark Matter that could potentially be a major advancement in the field.
