We consider a familyof Markov interval maps interpolating between the tent mapand the Farey map. Lettingdenote the Perron–Frobenius operator of, we show, forand, that the asymptotic behaviour of the iterates ofapplied to observables with a singularity atof orderis dependent on the structure of the-limit set ofwith respect to. The results presented here are some of the first to deal with convergence to equilibrium of observables with singularities.
