Partial support is provided for conducting the "Fourth International Conference on the Manufacturing Science and Technology of the Future" to be held at MIT on June 22-25, 1987. The purpose of this conference is to serve as a forum for leading researchers to pool their knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies and to determine the future direction of research and development. To achieve this goal, outstanding research leaders from key industrial nationas will be invited to be speakers and session chairmen at the conference.
