Publishing and Travel Support with Respect to the 5th International Conference on Statistics and Probability in Soil and Structural Engineering

This grant is to facilitate the travel and the preparation of the proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Applications of Statistics and Probability in Soil and Structural Engineering to be held in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, May 25-29, 1987. This is the first time that this conference is being held in North America. The Principal Investigator is a key member of the Committee for the Planning and has helped to organize the technical sessions for the meeting. The grant covers the cost of printing, publication and distribution of the proceedings. The proceedings will be in two volumes and would be a compendium on the state-of-the-art understanding of the probability methods in soil and structural engineering. The principal investigator is a zecognized national expert in this area of research. A grant is recommended.
