This award is for partial support for a symposium entitled "Reconstructing Quaternary Landscapes". The symposium will be held at the University of Minnesota in May 1988. The objectives of the symposium are to summarize past 30 years of progress in Quaternary research and to honor the retirement of Professor Herb Wright, who has made seminal contributions in this area of paleoclimate research. This award recognizes many contributions this area of paleoclimate that Dr. Wright has made in the field of paleoclimate, especially through his work on the COHMAP project which has been funded by CDP/ATM over the past decade.
