The 8th International Symposium on "Surfactant in Solution" will be held at the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida, during June 10-15, 1990. The symposium deals with surface and colloid science having many long-term applications. There will be major sessions on surfactants in: microelectronics; food and allied industries; health and biomedical areas; enhanced oil recovery; paper and related industries; lubrication; mineral processing. Approximately 350 researchers from all over the world will participate. NSF will provide partial support for 12 overseas and 11 U.S. academic researchers. NSF will be provided with an executive summary and detailed Conference report.
