This Presidential Young Investigator Award concentrates on research on wide bandgap semiconductor materials, such as diamond, silicon carbide, and boron nitride. THe materials are being synthesized using microwave plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition, oxyacetylene flame deposition, and heated filament deposition.
