A symposium entitled "The World at Risk: Natural Hazards and Climate Change" will be convened by the Center for Global Change Science of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and will take place on January 14 & 15, 1992, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The objective of this symposium is to highlight and discuss the possible consequences of climate change on natural hazards, and to define the research that can provide the bases for developing the strategies needed for the prediction and prevention of, and the adaptation to the changing forces of nature.
