Between 1 July 1992 and 30 June 1993, the contractor will provide the following services for quarterly and review issues of the Antarctic Journal of United States: o editorial services: copy editing; rewriting; photo research and substantive editing when directed; the preparation of quarterly climate summaries; and the acquisition of four quarterly awards list from the NSF mainframe o production services: proofreading; wordprocessing; desktop publishing work (includes typesetting and layout); and graphic design work (as necessary) for five issues of the journal o administrative services: communication with NSF and authors via letter, electronic mail, or telephone; maintenance of a database to track manuscripts, art work, photographs, and author correspondence. These services were solicited via competitive procurement through Commerce Business Daily. The contract is firm, fixed-price contract for 1 year with four 1-year options to extend until June 1997.
