The University of Colorado at Denver seeks to provide for a five week commuter Young Scholars Program in chemistry. The program will serve fifteen students entering ninth and tenth grades in the Denver metropolitan area. The students will work on environmentally oriented research projects with emphasis on chemistry in the University of Colorado research laboratories. Other activities include the participation in problem solving and discussion sessions, field trips to local industry and government laboratories, and interacting with practicing scientists.
