Nybakken 9401868 The Moss Landing Marine Laboratory (MLML) at San Jose State Univ. requests renewed funding for shipboard technician activities associated with the research vessel POINT SUR, a 135-foot vessel. The POINT SUR is owned by NSF and operated by MLML. In calendar year 1994, the POINT SUR will support a total of 130 days of NSF-funded research primarily in the coastal waters of California. MLML technicians will be responsible for operating and repairing instruments while at sea, maintaining instruments ashore and assisting with scientific operations as necessary before and after cruises.
