9529360 Mahin The purpose of this proposal is to provide support for travel, both international and within the U.S. for Dr. Wei Lian of China Academy of Building Research for technical consultations and cooperation on the following research topics: 1. Composite construction technology for resisting wind and earthquake loading effects, 2. Vibration control in tall structures, and on: 3. Planning of an International Workshop on Composite Construction to be implemented under U.S.-China Earthquake Protocol Annex II. During his short term (approximately one week in August 1995) visit Dr. Wei Lian will also visit faculty at several laboratories and universities in the U.S. ***
