ABSTRACT 9550642 Havlen Forty science teachers from across the nation will attend the Symposium on Astronomy Education sponsored by the Astronomical Society of the Pacific. The Symposium brings together science teacher, science educators, curriculum developers and research astronomers to review existing astronomy instructional materials at all educational levels, share the results and plan for the future. The Symposium includes plenary sessions, poster sessions and small group discussions. The proceedings, to be published, will bring together the existing knowledge and chart future directions. The Symposium will be held June 24-25, 1995 at the University of Maryland, as part of the 1995 annual meeting of the Astronomical society of the Pacific.
