9713051 LEE The annual IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA), sponsored by the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, has become the largest annual conference in robotics and automation, and has served as a forum gathering international researchers together for the exchange of ideas on technical problems and their solutions. This proposal requests group travel funds from the NSF to assist approximately 40 US researchers to participate in the 1998 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, which will be held in Leuven, Belgium, May 16-21, 1998. ***
