The project intends to digitize, as far as possible, all legal journals of the German language area which started publication between 1703 and 1830, as listed in the bibliography of Joachim Kirchner (Kirchner, Joachim: Bibliographie der Zeitschriften des deutschen Sprachgebietes bis 1900. Bd. 1, 1969, S. 140-152 und S. 365 f.). The project plans to digitize the journals as scanned images and make the individual contributions accessible by the creation of metadata. With this project the journals of all German speaking territories and of all legal disciplines will be converted into digital form and made available to the research community electronically, free of cost and permanently.
