Society for Molecular Biology and Evolution Young Investigators' Workshop (SMBE YI), New Zealand in July 2005

The third Society for Molecular Biology and Evolution Young Investigators' Workshop will be held in conjunction with the annual SMBE meeting being held in New Zealand in July 2005. The workshop will be coordinated with two other countries, Japan and New Zealand. The goals of the workshop are: 1) to promote collaborations among the top young investigators in the field; 2) to expand breadth of knowledge among young investigators; and 3) to enhance diversity in the field. The award will provide travel funds for 11 young investigators - senior graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. Results of the workshop will be dissemination as a special proceedings volume of the Society's journal, Molecular Biology and Evolution.
