Leadership Forum 2006

This project is to support the participation of Alaska Native students, Alaska Native and non-native leaders, and several international presenters in the Alaska Federation of Natives' Leadership Forum 2006. One of the major themes of the Forum is to explore Alaska Native competitiveness in the global economy, but the agenda covers a broad range of topics including climate change, avian flu, culture and development in a globalizing world, and cyberinfrastructure and a developing workforce. Participation in the Forum will potentially increase the interest and understanding of these important science and social topics for Alaska Native students and community members and increase the collaboration between Alaska Native and non-native people in seeking solutions to future issues of social, environmental, and economic concern.
