Harron Colliders at Fermilab (The Tevatron) and CERN (The LHC) are expected to be productive tools to explore high mass scales (The Terascale) in the near future. This proposal requests continued support for the frontier collider-physics research program of the Experimental High Energy Physics (HEP) group at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln (UNL). The group has over 15 years experience each in the D0 Experiment at the Tevatron. Their work has focused on providing quality data to the experiment: meeting the Level-3 specifications for triggering with a full suite of physics object tools; monitoring data quality and, in particular, the changes introduced by new code releases; and a completing a major reevaluation of the normalization of D0's luminosity. The D0 experiment clearly remains a primary focus for the group, as transition to CMS at the LHC begins,.The Principal Investigators also lead CROP, the Cosmic Ray Observatory Project CROP is a statewide outreach effort to involve Nebraska high schools in the study of extended cosmic-ray air showers, using retired detectors from the Chicago Air Shower Array, as well as leading outreach for the Pierre Auger cosmic ray experiment.
