0729136GassoThis award will support a workshop organized by Dr. Santiago Gasso, University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and Prof. Diego Gaiero, Universidad Nacional de Cordoba, on the topic of dust emitted by the southern countries of South America, to be held in Puerto Madryn, Argentina, October 3-5, 2007. This workshop will strengthen and initiate ties among the network of researchers in Latin America and the US working in areas of atmospheric chemistry, climate, large scale dynamics and earth science. It will help advance these fields by providing the opportunity for researchers working on this important topic to share information and to plan joint research initiatives. In addition the workshop will provide an international experience to junior U.S. scientists and students in a stimulating environment.
