The specific automotive manufacturing systems research areas to be explored include operations research, computer simulations, occupational safety, ergonomics, quality control, scheduling, reliability, engineering economics, and supply chain management. The Korean collaborator is Dr. Woon-Seek Lee, a Professor in the Department of Systems Management and Engineering at the Pukyong National University (PKNU) in Busan, Korea.
