英文摘要
In electrochemical machining (ECM) an anodic dissolution of electrical conductive material causes a specific change of the work piece geometry, where usually metallic materials are machined. In this study the possibility of designing EC process or process chains for machining carbide-based materials shall be examined. Thereby, processes of shaping, imaging and finishing are to be examined theoretically and experimentally. Furthermore, the applicability of machining carbide-based materials shall be analyzed and evaluated. To overcome nontrivial surface oxidation inhibiting the anodic dissolution, secondary fluid dynamic and electrical processes are used for the process support. The goal of this project is to develop a tool and process system for producing complex structures in carbide-based materials using electrochemical manufacturing processes.
