项目摘要

The aim of the project is to develop an efficient numerical tool in computational geomechanics for seismic simulations in regions with natural or induced (due to the geothermal engineering) seismicity. The proposed method can take into consideration the following key factors: (a) the lateral inhomoge-neity in a local geological soil stratum due to non-parallel layers and relief peculiarities; (b) the stepwise or continuously inhomogeneous half-space, where the local geological region and the seismic source are situated. The novelty of the proposed work concerns: (a) a new non-conventional BIEM based on Green’s func-tions for a continuously inhomogeneous half-plane is developed, validated, inserted in software and involved in intensive simulations for different seismic scenarios; (b) due to the usage of Green’s function the solution accuracy increases and the CPU time and memory is reduced in comparison with the conventional BIEM; (c) the capability to account for the three main components - seismic source, inhomogeneous wave path from the source to the region of interest plus its lateral inhomogeneity. Additionally, the interaction of the back-scattered waves from the local structure with all heterogeneities outside it can be considered in contrast to the known hybrid two-step techniques.
