除了研究股各项目之间的直接科学合作外，它的协作性还有赖于内部和外部交流的共同运作的基础设施和方案。后者需要为短期和长期访客、内部务虚会、一所秋季学校和一次国际研讨会提供资金。中央协调项目的其他职责涉及两性平等措施、公众宣传、有组织的博士培训和行政支助。

Apart from the direct scientific cooperation between the various projects of the Research Unit its collaborative character relies also on jointly operated infrastructure and programs for internal and external communication. The latter requires funding for short and long-time visitors, internal retreats, one fall school, and one international workshop. Other responsibilities of the central coordination project concern gender equality measures, public outreach, structured PhD training, and administrative support.
