This sub-project elaborates Process Signatures for multistage grinding processes. For this purpose the influence of the thermo-mechanical loads and the resulting material modifications generated in the previous process on the subsequent process as well as depth effects are investigated. Additionally, a combined laser and deep rolling process is used to gain a deeper knowledge on the interaction between thermal and mechanical impacts by varying both impacts independently from each other.
