The third workshop for early career investigators in health services research (3. NWA) aims at promoting the submission and approval rates in the procedures of workshops for early career investigators. Another objective is to support young scientists in developing knowledge-generating research projects which are qualified for initial one year start-up financing from the funds of the DFG. Achieving these specific targets involves pursuing overarching objectives, including acquiring sustainable professional skills for the systematic development of innovative and insightful project ideas and research areas that warrant a medium-to-long term increase in the number of research proposals in health services research to the DFG, the enhancement of basic scientific research within the health services research in Germany, as well as a sustainable network of young scientists.
