Evaluating Data Sources for Research into Political Reforms: (Non)probability Online Surveys and Big Data (A08)

The project aims to understand, how available data sources may be utilized for research on citizens’ acceptance of and preferences for political reform making in Germany. In this context, we investigate the representativeness and measurement properties of probability-based and non-probability online surveys and of (linked) Big Data and passive data collection via smartphones. The project compares the utility of the data sources across countries and over time.
