The objective of this project, as stated in the original proposal, is to determine the mostcontinuous part of the Plancherel decomposition for real spherical homogeneous spaces, to study the structure theory that is needed, to obtain an asymptotic description of the support of the Plancherel measure, and ultimately to obtain a description of the Plancherel decomposition modulo knowledge about the discrete series of the spherical homogeneous space and its boundary degenerations.
