Prof. Aurel von Szily was the first Director of the University Eye Clinics in Münster from 1925 to 1935. He lsot his chair during the national-socialism and emigrated to Hungary in 1939. He worked out a huge monography on developmental anomalies of the optic nerve head that was never published. The applicant is in possession of this work and aims to reconstruct the monography from the remaining material and publish it.
