This project will provide the structural requirements for the joint exploratory investigations in the field and the joint experimental field approaches as well as the joint studies in lysimeter systems and the joint investigations in microcosms in a climate-controlled greenhouse and phytotrons that together constitute the core investigations of the Research Group. This includes the preparation of the field sites, the realization of the joint field experiments, and the coordination of the joint field campaigns, as well as ¿ in cooperation with the GSF Munich ¿ the preparation of (a) the lysimeters and (b) the microcosms for joint greenhouse and phytotron studies, the realisation of the experiments and the coordination of samplings and harvests in these facilities. In addition, the project will be responsible for the set up, data input, and access of the common data bank and the web-page of the Research Group. The project will also organize the planning meetings before and after each field campaign as well as the joint annual meeting of the Research Group. It will administer the travel budget including the budget for guest speakers at the joint annual meetings.
