Coordination Funds

The project is dedicated to the coordination of the Research Unit and the administration of allpertinent organizational matters. It will be chiefly responsible for the cooperation with the DFG andthe administration of the scientific organizations involved (Universities of Düsseldorf and Tübingen,MPI Nijmegen). Administrational tasks involve budgeting and accounting for the Research Unit,documentation of finances for the DFG, purchasing (including registration and accounting),administration of staff (preparation of contracts, leaves, etc.), administration of conference travel(budgeting, applications, accounting), technical support for reports and preparation of follow-upproposal for the second funding period.In addition it organizes the workshops, meetings of the Research Unit, and visits of guests,and administrates all financial and technical matters related to these events.Another objective of the project is to develop and maintain a website that presents theresearch unit and its projects, its objectives, its work, and its results to the public. It will also beused to announce and organize the workshops, and will provide access to presentations and talks(e.g. as podcasts) held at the workshops.Finally, it provides the technical infrastructure that is necessary for the individual projectsand their cooperation, i.e. the development and maintenance of a web-site and the installation andmaintenance of an IT infrastructure for the research to be done in the projects (see section 2.4).
