The University Library of Greifswald made an expression of interest to participate in the project “Digitization and indexing of printing published in the German language area during the 18th century. Main phase, second part”. 7.600 titles were assigned for digitization and indexing. After random tests of some 10% to check the state of preservation, 3500 titles with 455.000 pages (130 pages in average) were selected for digitizing. It is planned to employ a librarian for two years to do the indexing and metadata-recording. 5.517 hours of scanning should be executed by student assistants. Whereas project management, checking by conservator, professional support and training should be done on the library’s own account.
