石巻市沿岸部の住民と仙台市若林区でプレハブ仮設住宅に入居した者を対象に、被災者健康調査（アンケート調査）を実施し、震災12年目の被災地域住民の健康状態や生活環境の推移などを把握した。本年度は、石巻市３地区で2,033人（雄勝地区1,006人、牡鹿地区940人、網地島地区87人）、仙台市若林区（プレハブ仮設住宅に入居した者）で375人、対象地区合計2,408人から回答が得られた。調査結果の概要を述べる。第１に、居住形態は、前年度（2021年度）調査と比べて、変化は見られなかった。第２に、睡眠障害が疑われる者の割合は前年度39.7%から37.8%に減少したものの、全国平均28.5%より高かった。第３に、心理的苦痛が疑われる者の割合は11.9%から14.2%に増加し、全国平均10.0%より高かった。第４に、暮らし向きが「大変苦しい」「苦しい」と答えた者の割合は17.6%から24.6%に増加した。第５に、高齢者の生活不活発は、「遠くへも一人で歩いている」の割合が46.6%から42.2%に減少した。第６に、新型コロナウイルスの影響は、「たいてい/いつも不安を感じる」と回答した者の割合は44.9%から34.7%に減少したものの、「外出頻度に変化があった」や「収入に変化があった」と回答した者の割合は横ばいであった。震災から12年目となり、被災者の居住環境は安定してきたが、被災後の生活環境の変化および新型コロナウイルス感染症の拡大が、被災者のメンタルヘルスや身体活動量に影響を与えた可能性が示唆された。さらに、本年度は、被災者健康調査のデータから個人情報を削除したデータベースを構築し、データアーカイブのための整備を進め、調査情報の一部を公開した。
